Dr. Shanté Cofield, aka The Movement Maestro, is a former Division I athlete with a passion for movement. She graduated from Georgetown University and then continued their educational pursuits at New York University, graduating with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Shanté is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who practices in Los Angeles, with specialties ranging from CrossFit injuries to pelvic floor dysfunction.
In this episode, she talks with Lara about their background and what led them down the physical therapy journey, how she started a business through social media, the easiest and most common mistakes people make in marketing, authenticity, and tips on building your online brand.
In this episode, you’ll learn the following:
- Authenticity on Social Media: one of the biggest mistakes people do for their brand is not being themselves on these platforms. Authenticity builds trust and familiarity.
- Think about your people: don’t find people for your product, but build a product for your people. Hear the problems that they are having and build something with value to help solve them!
- A small account is still an opportunity!: in a world where everyone wants a huge following on Instagram, we need to realize that a small account is a phenomenal opportunity to build trust and listen to people.
