One of the great things about yoga is that you can take it anywhere. But even knowing that, have you ever thought about doing yoga in the water?
Christa Fairbrother had been practicing yoga for her back pain for years when she discovered she had lupus erythematosus. It was partially because of her yoga that she was able to manage it so well. She later was diagnosed with multiple arthritic conditions and started training in yoga to combat her arthritis. It was there she met someone who hosted a “wine, women, and pool night” for yoga. After that experience, she switched right away to water yoga training and hasn’t looked back.
In this episode, she shares how she lives with these diagnoses, how what you do on the mat transfers to the water, and its effects on the parasympathetic nervous system.
