    388. What Is Stress & What Can We Do About It?

Stress can manifest itself in different ways in our lives. What is stress, and what can we do to keep it under control?

Our ancient ancestors had similar physical and anatomical characteristics and they experienced stress in a similar way. However, stress for them was a rare occurrence brought on by life-or-death situations. In our modern society, we are under constant pressures. Our bodies and minds are so overstimulated, they’re unable to tell the difference between near-death experiences and the occurrences of day-to-day life. As a society, we’re starting to feel the effects of that accumulation of stress. Let’s talk about how to manage it for your short and long term benefit.

    382. Taking Personal Accountability, with Mark Heimann

Accountability has always been important, but it is more important than ever in today’s connected world.

We all make mistakes, that’s just part of life. Taking ownership of our mistakes and being accountable for them is a required part of growth. Showing accountability extends beyond just saying sorry for your mistakes. We have to show vulnerability and acknowledge those mistakes, as well as our willingness to grow from them.
