Personal Bio

Mia began yoga to deal with chronic pain when conventional medicine no longer worked; along with her Reiki practice, she found relief and wants to share the self-healing possibilities of yoga. Joining YogaStream transformed her practice which led her to complete the 200-hour training. Each class of Mia's blends the spiritual with a technical eye to elevate all class participants' practice of yoga. As a critical care nurse, Mia hopes to bring the idea of healing--mentally and physically--to her yoga classes so that practitioners can feel better on and off the mat. When not teaching yoga or nursing, Mia is pursuing a Master's degree in nursing to be come a Nurse Practitioner.
