“WHEN I MOVE IS WHEN I FEEL MOST ALIVE.”

Harnoor Singh is an enthusiast in movement. Obtaining his doctorate in physical therapy, he is looking to shed light on a research based/anatomical perspective in movement. Harnoor currently teaches LYT yoga, a vigorous and fluid vinyasa yoga practice that builds dynamic strength, flexibility, pliability, freedom, and playfulness. Harnoor also implies these same teachings when teaching different movement practices such as hip hop dance styles, acroyoga, functional movement patterns, and patients within physical therapy. Harnoor is based in Philadelphia and has traveled to teach workshops all over the country.

“MY FIRST MOVEMENT EXPERIENCE STARTED AS A DANCER. I FOUND MYSELF ENTRANCED BY THE RHYTHMIC MOVEMENTS OF HIP HOP ARTISTS.”

Harnoor first started his movement experience studying a variety of dance disciplines from krumping, popping, locking, to partner dances such as bachata, salsa, and swing. As he marveled at the connection and expression that dance brought into his life, he thought he could dedicate his life to this practice. Shortly after, Harnoor found himself meeting the acroyoga community, and again Harnoor thought he thought he could dedicate his life to this practice. It became a routine for Harnoor to engage a practice will all his might and realize that he was looking for something more.

“I REALIZED THAT WHAT I WAS SEARCHING FOR WAS BEYOND A SPECIFIC DISCIPLINE. I WAS ENTRANCED BY THE STUDENT MINDSET AND IN AWE BY HOW EACH CRAFT HAD ITS OWN COMMUNITY.”

Harnoor wasn’t the first to delve into this realization. Countless practitioners have been looking past the specificty of disciplines but looking for something deeper in how the body organizes and expresses. Bringing together his movement experiences, Harnoor began practicing, learning, and teaching. It was through this student mindset that he now presents “Movement with Noor”. A chance for him to build his craft and share it with the world.

“TO BE A GOOD TEACHER, YOU MUST FIRST BE A GOOD STUDENT. HUMBLE YOURSELF, HONE YOUR CRAFT. ”

Harnoor is a teacher, but beyond this, a rigorous practitioner. He leads the forefront of his movement experience by continually experimenting, learning, and creating at all times. Harnoor is excited to share all his experiences in rehabilitation, injury prevention, and alignment in your movement practice.
